About The Author

Mary Cole Watson, M. Ed.

Mary Cole Watson is an educator, speaker, and author. Watson earned her undergraduate degree in African American Studies/Elementary Education at Brockport State University and her M. Ed. in Early Childhood Education/Reading K-12 at the University of Toledo. During her teaching tenure, Watson served as Title 1 Reading Coordinator, elementary teacher, and elementary/middle school and high school reading specialist. She is the author of 28 Lessons for African American Youth and Wisdom Warriors. Watson’s publications are endorsed by various media outlets and the Black Child Journal. More Wisdom More Warriors is Watson’s second book.
